I am a costume designer and maker in the making at Nottingham Trent University!
Costume is the area in art and design where I find I can be most creative. Influenced, by everything around me and by everything I get involved in I start to develop and create things that express personality and individuality. The art of costume offers freedom, you can disguise and hide a person behind a costume or you can bring out and showcase key points of the character's personality. This is what makes costume so fulfilling.
I have always had a strong interest in anything visual and expressive and I feel that costume gives me the chance to take risks, experiment and push myself to produce the best results in whatever I design or make.
